Job Summary
To enhance coding accuracy and provider education, the full-time remote Provider Coding Auditor & Educator will collaborate with physicians and APPs, focusing on compliance, documentation improvement, and revenue cycle operations.
Key responsibilities
- Audits provider medical records and charges for compliance with coding standards and regulations
- Provides education to physicians and ACPs on appropriate coding practices and documentation
- Collaborates with billing specialists to resolve coding issues and improve charge capture processes
Required qualifications
- Associates degree and completion of a Certified Medical Coding Program or equivalent experience
- Must possess both CPC and CPMA certifications
- Four years of coding experience, with at least two years in surgical abstraction
- Extensive knowledge of E&M coding, ICD-10-CM, and CPT-4 coding conventions
- Ability to present coding topics effectively to large groups of providers
