CPC Licensed Coding Specialist

Job Summary

To support the Coding Services department, the remote Coding Education Specialist will lead ongoing education for coding staff, coordinate projects for team success, and assist with coding analysis and training for new hires.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as a coding expert for assigned specialties and provide training to new and existing coders
• Monitor the quality of coding staff work through audits and identify areas for further education
• Create and present educational materials regarding coding updates and changes to ICD 10 and CPT

Required qualifications

• CPC or AHIMA coding certification required
• 3-5 years of Diagnostics coding experience with expertise in procedural and diagnosis coding
• Specialty certifications preferred
• Teaching physician guidelines preferred
• Experience with EMR and Practice Management software
