CPC Licensed Medical Coder

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coder to ensure accurate documentation and coding for reimbursement capture.

Key Responsibilities

• Organizes and prioritizes work, reviews medical records, and assigns ICD and CPT codes
• Utilizes ICD-10-CM and CPT systems for accurate coding, maintaining a coding accuracy of 90% or better
• Maintains positive relationships with providers and assists in training and mentoring other coders

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (Minimum Required)
• 1 year of ICD-10 Coding experience in a medical practice (Preferred)
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Outpatient Coder (COC) certification from AAPC (Required upon hire)
