CPCS Credentialing Operations Manager

Job Summary

Overseeing a remote team, the full-time salaried CPCS Credentialing Operations Manager will lead the centralized Credentialing Verification Organization, ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and continuous process improvement for provider credentialing across a large integrated health system and external clients.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and optimize credentialing operations, focusing on workflow enhancements and technology integration
• Develop and mentor staff while establishing accountability and performance metrics
• Collaborate with various stakeholders to resolve operational challenges and improve provider onboarding outcomes

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in health administration, business, or related field preferred
• Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) required within one year of start date
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in credentialing or medical staff services, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
• Experience with credentialing software platforms and regulatory standards (TJC, NCQA, CMS) required
• Strong organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and drive improvements
