Job Summary
To support patient care initiatives, the full-time CPhT Certified Patient Services Specialist will manage patient onboarding, benefit verification, and prior authorization processes while working remotely and aligning with clinic hours across various time zones.
Key responsibilities
- Initiates and tracks Patient Services Program applications, ensuring smooth communication between patients, providers, and pharmacies
- Conducts benefit verifications and manages financial assistance processes for patients requiring specialty medications
- Maintains accurate documentation and files for patient assistance programs and adheres to compliance standards
Required qualifications
- CPhT certification is required
- Completion of a 2-year Associate Degree or equivalent experience in Medical Office Administration, Pharmacy, or related fields
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in patient services or pharmacy support
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Familiarity with insurance processing and pharmaceutical services
