Job Summary
To support patient care initiatives, the full-time CPhT Certified Patient Services Specialist will perform patient onboarding, benefit verification, and prior authorization processes remotely, ensuring seamless communication between patients, physicians, and pharmacies.
Key responsibilities
- Facilitates patient onboarding and manages prior authorization and financial assistance processes to streamline prescription fulfillment
- Interacts with patients and providers to gather necessary insurance information and ensure reimbursement for medications and services
- Maintains patient documentation and tracks adherence activities to enhance patient outcomes and reduce readmissions
Required qualifications
- CPhT certification required
- Degree, technical vocational training, or equivalent combination of experience and education; Bachelor's degree preferred
- 2+ years of relevant experience in Medical Office Administration, Patient Financial Services, or similar fields
- Familiarity with insurance/claims processing and pharmaceutical products
- Competence in Microsoft Excel and Word
