CPU Performance Architect

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Midcore CPU Performance Architect.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive the architecture and microarchitecture of the midcore unit for out-of-order RISC-V CPUs
• Model, simulate, and evaluate mid-core performance and PPA tradeoffs
• Propose and prototype new approaches to optimize scheduling and execution paths

Required Qualifications

• Strong grasp of CPU microarchitecture fundamentals
• Experience with performance simulation tools like Gem5 or SimpleScalar
• Familiarity with HDLs (Verilog, VHDL) and low-level C/C++ programming is a plus
• Collaborative and organized with a passion for hands-on modeling and analysis
• Experience in optimizing instruction execution latencies and system bottlenecks
