Credentialing and Licensing Specialist

Job Summary

Supporting credentialing, licensing, and payer contracting activities, the remote Contracting & Credentialing Specialist will manage the end-to-end provider credentialing processes, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and serve as a liaison between providers and payers.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate provider credentialing and re-credentialing processes with payers, including application submission
• Maintain accurate provider credentialing files and monitor timelines to address delays or deficiencies
• Support payer contracting activities and assist with licensing needs in alignment with organizational growth

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
• 3+ years of experience in provider credentialing, licensing, and/or managed care contracting
• Strong working knowledge of CAQH, payer portals, and credentialing workflows
• Familiarity with ACHC, AASM, CMS, and state regulatory requirements
• Credentialing certification (CPCS or CPMSM) is a plus
