Job Summary
To support healthcare operations, the part-time Credentialing Coordinator will manage the credentialing, re-credentialing, and privileging processes for medical providers, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while working remotely for a duration of 16 weeks.
Key responsibilities
- Reviews and monitors provider credentialing and re-credentialing applications, following up as necessary
- Compiles and maintains accurate data for all providers, auditing health plan directories and assisting with payer audits
- Tracks and ensures timely renewals of licenses, certifications, and other required credentialing documents for all providers
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED with 3 years of medical staff credentialing experience, or an Associate's Degree with 3 years of data collection or analysis experience
- Demonstrated experience with software databases for generating correspondence and tracking activities
- Familiarity with legal, state, TJC, and NCQA guidelines for medical staff compliance
- Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) preferred
