Credentialing Director

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Credentialing Director to lead a remote, full-time team responsible for overseeing the credentialing and provider enrollment department, setting departmental strategy, implementing KPIs, and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced healthcare services environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the credentialing department, managing Provider Enrollment Specialists and Credentialing Account Managers while setting departmental goals and performance standards
• Ensure compliance and operational oversight of provider enrollment, credentialing, and re-credentialing activities, serving as the escalation point for complex issues
• Design and refine department-wide processes and quality controls to enhance efficiency and support organizational growth

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in provider relations, credentialing, enrollment, or healthcare operations, with progressive leadership responsibility
• 4+ years of people management experience, including managing multiple direct reports
• Bachelor's degree required; degree in healthcare administration, business, or process improvement preferred
• Strong understanding of medical billing, payer enrollment, and healthcare workflows
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and credentialing/enrollment databases
