Job Summary
To support credentialing operations, the full-time remote Credentialing Program Operations Specialist will oversee personnel activities, manage credentialing processes, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards within the Office of Medical Staff Affairs.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently analyze and manage credentialing processes for UW Medicine, including special privileges and clinical forms
- Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory audits and accreditation surveys, ensuring compliance with necessary standards
- Lead departmental process improvement projects to enhance efficiency and teamwork across credentialing operations
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least two years of credentialing experience
- Certification in NAMSS SPCS or CPMSM, or the ability to obtain certification within two years of hire
- Familiarity with post-award grant and contract processes for federal and non-federal funding sources
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a complex environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
