Credentialing Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Credentialing Specialist responsible for managing credentialing and re-credentialing processes for providers in compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Validate completeness of provider applications prior to processing
• Perform primary source verification for credentialing and re-credentialing applications
• Monitor site visit progress and ensure completion within established timeframes

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• High School Diploma or GED with 4+ years of credentialing experience, or an Associate's degree with 1-2 years of credentialing experience
• Bachelor's degree preferred with at least 1 year of credentialing or related experience
• 1-4 years of provider credentialing experience in a hospital or health insurance setting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard PC applications
