Credentialing Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Credentialing Specialist to perform verification activities associated with credentialing and re-credentialing providers.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify credentials of providers timely and accurately through approved sources
• Monitor requests for credentialing applications and complete necessary documentation
• Communicate with providers regarding the credentialing process and maintain confidentiality of documents

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Ability to type a minimum of 50 wpm and ten key proficiency of 135 kspm net
• Working knowledge of NCQA and state credentialing standards is helpful
• Experience in managing provider data within a credentialing database
• Ability to work independently and in a diverse team environment
• Maintains a professional appearance and demeanor in all interactions
