Credentialing Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Credentialing Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full cycle of provider credentialing with insurance carriers
• Maintain individual provider files and ensure all information is accurate and updated in credentialing software
• Coordinate with practices on applications for provider licenses and manage revalidation requests from government payers

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least 1-2 years of experience in managed care credentialing
• Previous experience working in a medical office is preferred
• Working knowledge of medical terminology, billing, and insurance is a plus
• Must comply with HIPAA rules and regulations
