Credentialing Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Facility Credentialing Specialist II - Remote.

Key Responsibilities

• Processes initial and reappointment assignments for hospitals and surgical centers
• Maintains complete files of provider's licensure and credentials, monitoring renewals
• Updates and maintains the credentialing database and correspondence files

Required Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent; AS or B.S. degree in business administration or healthcare is a plus
• 2-3 years of credentialing experience preferred
• Proficient in computer applications, including MS Word and MS Excel
• Knowledge of NCQA and/or Joint Commission Accreditation standards
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
