Credentialing Specialist

Job Summary

To support a growing healthcare practice, the remote Facility Credentialing Specialist II will manage provider credentialing processes, maintain accurate records, and monitor licensure renewals for Physicians, CRNAs, APRNs, and PAs.

Key responsibilities

• Process initial and reappointment assignments for hospitals and surgical centers
• Maintain and update the credentialing database, including demographic and licensure information
• Monitor and manage continuing medical education and training requirements for providers

Required qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent; AS or B.S. degree in business administration or healthcare-related field is a plus
• 2-3 years of credentialing experience preferred
• Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, and database administration
• Knowledge of NCQA and/or Joint Commission Accreditation standards
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
