Credentialing Specialist

Job Summary

Maintaining accurate records and processing applications, the remote Facility Credentialing Specialist III will manage provider credentialing, monitor licensure renewals, and ensure compliance with healthcare standards.

Key responsibilities

• Process initial and reappointment assignments for hospitals and surgical centers
• Maintain and update credentialing database, including licensure and demographic information
• Monitor and manage continuing medical education and training requirements for providers

Required qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; AS or B.S. degree in business administration or healthcare-related field preferred
• 2-3 years of credentialing experience preferred
• Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, and database administration
• Knowledge of NCQA and/or Joint Commission Accreditation standards
• Familiarity with Federal and State Regulations on Confidentiality and Peer Review Guidelines
