Credentialing Specialist

Job Summary

To support a growing healthcare organization, the full-time Credentialing Specialist will manage the credentialing and recredentialing processes for physicians and advanced providers, coordinating necessary documentation and ensuring compliance with policies while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and verify credentialing information for physicians and advanced providers, ensuring all documentation is complete and compliant
• Maintain current credentials by updating databases, sending reminders, and providing necessary documentation to external parties
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting with credentialing paperwork and supporting new client onboarding efforts

Required qualifications

• 1 - 2 years of related credentialing work experience in the medical field
• Associate degree in a related field or a combination of education and experience
• Knowledge of credentialing policies and procedures
• Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Ability to maintain compliance with regulatory and accrediting institutions
