Credentialing Specialist

Job Summary

To support a growing healthcare organization, the full-time hybrid Credentialing Specialist will manage the credentialing, re-credentialing, and privileging processes for medical providers, ensuring compliance with health plans and maintaining up-to-date provider data.

Key responsibilities

• Tracks and maintains required credentialing documents for all providers, including licenses and malpractice coverage
• Completes payor enrollment applications and maintains provider information in online portals
• Collaborates with various teams to ensure all credentialing requirements are met and supports hospital privilege maintenance for medical providers

Required qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent experience; or six months to one year of related experience
• Minimum of three years of relevant credentialing experience preferred
• Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) preferred or actively pursuing certification
• Strong computer skills with advanced competence in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Demonstrated accuracy and dependability in managing credentialing processes
