Job Summary
Managing multiple credentialing projects remotely, the full-time Credentialing Specialist II - CPCS will oversee initial applications, reappointments, and coordination of expirable documents while utilizing credentialing databases and Microsoft Office tools.
Key responsibilities
- Process initial credentialing applications and manage recredentialing/reappointment processes
- Coordinate and track expirable documents to ensure compliance and timely credentialing
- Mentor and train team members while collaborating closely with the Medical Staff Office team
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required; Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Health Care Administration or related field is preferred
- 2 years of clerical experience is required; 3 years of experience in healthcare is required
- 4 years of Hospital Credentialing or Payor Credentialing experience is required
- Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) is required
