Credit Balance Analyst

Job Summary

Reviewing and resolving healthcare credit balance accounts, the full-time Credit Balance Analyst I will analyze root causes of account balances and partner with provider staff to ensure accurate resolutions, all while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Confirm account details and financial transactions in the assigned patient accounting system
• Complete detailed analyses to execute appropriate actions for full resolution, including refunds and adjustments
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and leadership to address questions and advance account resolutions

Required qualifications

• Exposure to healthcare, insurance, or revenue cycle through coursework, internships, or work experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify discrepancies in detailed information
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a remote environment with minimal distractions
