Job Summary

A company is looking for a Credit Balance Specialist in Patient Accounting.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze accounts receivable credit balances for accuracy and determine necessary adjustments or refunds
• Manage credit balance reports and external correspondence related to overpayments
• Communicate and document issues with insurance payers and maintain files for resolution

Required Qualifications

• High school degree or GED is required
• Minimum of two years experience in insurance follow-up, billing, and collections
• One year of experience in a medical facility or claims processing preferred
• Computer literate
• Ability to work closely with co-workers
