Job Summary
Resolving credit balances and processing refunds, the full-time Credit Balance Specialist will manage accounts identified through various internal reports and requests while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Resolve credit balances through Epic work queues and internal reports, ensuring accurate billing and cash posting
- Research refund requests and provide detailed disputes when refunds are not warranted
- Organize daily tasks to achieve optimal productivity and participate in performance improvement initiatives
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of experience in a healthcare setting
- Knowledge of medical terminology and third-party payors
- Familiarity with collection procedures and coding (ICS-9 and CPT)
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and provide excellent customer service
