Credit Balance Specialist

Job Summary

Analyzing credit balances to determine their cause, the full-time remote Credit Balance Specialist will facilitate account resolution and post refunds while ensuring adherence to best practice methodologies.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze insurance and patient payments to identify causes of credit balances and facilitate refunds
• Utilize software and reporting tools to monitor credit balances and ensure compliance with hospital policies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve outstanding account issues and improve internal processes

Required qualifications

• 2 years or more experience in reimbursement and/or accounts receivable in a healthcare setting
• Basic knowledge of business office terminology and the full revenue cycle process
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and AS400
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally
• High-speed internet access and a smartphone for Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
