Credit Balance Specialist

Job Summary

Managing credit balance workloads, the full-time Credit Balance Specialist will resolve credit balances, process refund requests, and respond to inquiries, with the option for a hybrid schedule or fully remote work based on geographic location.

Key responsibilities

• Timely and accurately resolve credit balances and process internal and external refund requests
• Identify trends in credit balances and escalate issues as appropriate
• Maintain accurate account notes and respond to patient inquiries regarding billing discrepancies

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED or 3 years of relevant experience in lieu of diploma / GED
• 1-3+ years of experience in healthcare, insurance, business, finance, or customer service sectors
• Working knowledge of insurance claims, billing, coding, or accounting responsibilities
