Credit Processing Specialist

Job Summary

To support the revenue cycle operations, the full-time Credit Processing Specialist will analyze physician and hospital accounts, manage billing and follow-up for government payers, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze insurance and patient credit balances to identify root causes and resolve accounts
• Contact payers to inquire about account statuses and document billing activities in accordance with departmental guidelines
• Ensure compliance with privacy, HIPAA, and regulatory requirements while participating in required training and assignments

Required qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent, or post-high school diploma/highest degree earned
• Two years of experience in billing, bookkeeping, or accounting
• Knowledge of functions related to Denial/Appeals Specialist, Payment Research Specialist, and Quality Assurance Specialist
