Credit Risk Analyst

Job Summary

To support a growing payments platform, the remote Credit Risk Analyst will investigate merchant behavior and transaction patterns, applying analytical skills and AI tools to identify and mitigate credit risk while ensuring legitimate businesses continue to operate smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor trends across caseloads to identify and act on systemic risks to prevent merchant credit risk losses
• Communicate directly with merchants to address concerns and explain decisions in clear language
• Apply AI tools to enhance threat detection and automate repetitive analysis tasks

Required Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in risk analysis, underwriting, payments, e-commerce, or a related analytical role
• Solid understanding of merchant credit risk concepts and data analysis
• Proficiency with spreadsheet tools like Google Sheets or Excel
• Curiosity about different business models and their associated risk profiles
• Comfort working in ambiguity and applying good judgment in decision-making
