Credit Risk Analyst

Job Summary

Conducting hands-on investigations, the remote Credit Risk Analyst will review merchant accounts, apply risk assessment methodologies, and communicate findings to merchants while continuously deepening their expertise in credit risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Review and investigate merchant accounts by analyzing business, transaction, fulfillment, and charge activity
• Own the quality and outcomes of merchant investigations while deepening knowledge of emerging credit risk threats
• Communicate directly with merchants to gather information, address concerns, and explain decisions

Required qualifications

• Experience within financial services in a risk analysis or underwriting role in a digital payments, e-commerce, or marketplace environment
• Strong knowledge of merchant credit risk and charges, with the ability to connect multiple signals into a clear risk assessment
• Sound judgment and ownership when working through ambiguity
• Proficiency with MS Excel, Google Sheets, or similar spreadsheet tools
• A collaborative approach to sharing expertise and raising investigation quality across the team
