Credit Risk Lead

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Credit Risk Lead to take ownership of its credit strategy and policy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the Credit Policy by making iterative improvements based on data and business needs
• Monitor Loan Book Performance through dashboards and analysis of default rates
• Evolve the Underwriting Model by adjusting risk weightings and collaborating with engineering and data teams

Required Qualifications:

• Experience in building or evolving credit policy at a lender
• Background in fintech with understanding of underwriting differences between tech and traditional services
• Familiarity with small business underwriting or willingness to learn
• Strong analytical skills with a focus on data questioning and pattern recognition
• Strategic mindset with ability to guide discussions and manage risk-reward balance
