Credit Underwriting Manager

Job Summary

Leading a team of Mid-Ticket Credit Analysts, the fully remote Credit Underwriting Manager will ensure timely credit decisions, oversee underwriting of complex transactions, and manage team performance while developing and tracking key performance indicators.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and train the Mid-Ticket Pod, ensuring consistency in underwriting practices and performance management
• Underwrite equipment financing requests, conducting detailed financial analysis and presenting recommendations to the Credit Committee
• Develop and track team KPIs while managing workflow and maintaining communication with Sales and other departments

Required qualifications

• Minimum ten (10) years of experience in commercial credit underwriting or risk management, with significant hands-on underwriting experience in equipment finance
• At least five (5) years of leadership or management experience in commercial credit underwriting
• Expert knowledge of credit underwriting principles and risk assessment across multiple industries
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
• Proven ability to coach and develop underwriting professionals while maintaining high standards for credit quality
