Creditor Research Specialist

Job Summary

Building strong relationships with creditors, the remote Creditor Research & Resolution Specialist will manage a pipeline of broken or defaulted settlements, conduct research, and renegotiate accounts to secure optimal settlements for clients' unsecured debts.

Key responsibilities

• Contact creditors, clients, and collection agencies to renegotiate or save broken or defaulted settlements on delinquent accounts
• Review and research broken settlements and uncleared payments to resolve issues and save or resettle accounts
• Manage an open queue of accounts to consistently meet monthly production goals

Required qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience in debt settlement negotiations, payments, collections, or customer service
• Experience in debt settlement negotiations preferred
• Ability to influence, persuade, and close deals effectively
• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred
• Intermediate knowledge of Google Suite programs and computer literacy
