Job Summary
To provide specialized administrative and programmatic support for the NOAA fleet, the full-time Crew Management Specialist will manage relief mariner assignments, travel, training, and payroll logistics while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and manage relief mariner assignments, including travel and training logistics
- Analyze and advise on policy changes affecting program objectives while consulting with supervisors on priorities
- Compile performance feedback and support timekeeping policies and procedures for relief pool mariners
Required qualifications
- Knowledge of federal travel regulations and timekeeping duties
- Ability to interpret and apply Collective Bargaining Agreements
- Experience in providing administrative support in a complex environment
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
