Job Summary

To provide specialized administrative and programmatic support for the NOAA fleet, the full-time Crew Management Specialist will manage relief mariner assignments, travel, training, and payroll logistics while working remotely.

Key responsibilities
  • Plan and manage relief mariner assignments, including travel and training logistics
  • Analyze and advise on policy changes affecting program objectives while consulting with supervisors on priorities
  • Compile performance feedback and support timekeeping policies and procedures for relief pool mariners
Required qualifications
  • Knowledge of federal travel regulations and timekeeping duties
  • Ability to interpret and apply Collective Bargaining Agreements
  • Experience in providing administrative support in a complex environment
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
