Job Summary
Providing comprehensive crisis management and communications services, the full-time salaried Crisis Communications Manager will deliver reactive support during cybersecurity incidents while proactively guiding clients in developing crisis communications plans and conducting training sessions, with the flexibility to work remotely from Virginia or other eligible locations.
Key responsibilities
- Provide reactive crisis management and communications support for clients during active cybersecurity incidents, collaborating with technical teams to evaluate evolving business risks
- Lead all incident response communications activities across internal and external stakeholders while delivering strategic counsel to executive organization leadership
- Facilitate workshops to develop customized cyber crisis communications plans and playbooks leveraging best practices and lessons learned from live incidents
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Media Relations, Communications, or equivalent practical experience
- 8 years of experience in public relations, media relations, or communications
- 3 years of experience with cyber crisis situations and crisis communications in cybersecurity or technology
- 3 years of experience with crisis management and responding to cybersecurity or technology events
