Job Summary
Providing compassionate crisis support, the part-time National Sexual Assault Hotline (NSAH) Volunteer will answer online chats from survivors of sexual assault and their loved ones, utilizing crisis intervention best practices while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Utilize crisis intervention techniques to support hotline users and provide accurate referrals
- Complete ongoing training and maintain knowledge of RAINN's policies and protocols
- Participate in data collection and session assessments during shifts
Required qualifications
- Tech-savvy with experience in instant messaging and digital communication platforms
- Ability to type at least 35 words per minute
- Experience working with vulnerable populations or in crisis intervention
- Willingness to work a non-traditional schedule, including evenings and weekends
- Resiliently positive attitude with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
