Job Summary
Providing dedicated program and administrative support, the full-time Crisis Response Policy Specialist will analyze and review policies and legislation impacting the Crisis Response and Lethal Means Safety portfolios in a hybrid remote environment, preferably for candidates located in the DC Metro Area.
Key responsibilities
- Provide analytical and subject matter expertise to support the review of new and existing policies and legislation
- Track actions, coordinate requirements, and support portfolio execution for Crisis Response and Lethal Means Safety programs
- Function as a liaison with diverse stakeholders to ensure coordinated information flow and alignment across partners
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in public health, behavioral science, or a related field, along with at least five years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated subject matter expertise in Crisis Response and Lethal Means Safety, including familiarity with best practices and operational frameworks
- Strong understanding of policy review and assessment related to the DSPO mission areas
- Proven ability to provide program and administrative support, including tracking actions and coordinating requirements
- Experience with suicide prevention, postvention, or related behavioral health programs
