Job Summary

To enhance revenue management, the full-time Remote Critical Access Medical Billing Specialist will generate revenue through payment arrangements, collect delinquent accounts, and maintain Medicare bad-debt cost reports.

Key responsibilities

• Generate revenue by establishing payment arrangements and collecting accounts
• Monitor and pursue delinquent accounts, including following up with insurance providers
• Maintain Medicare bad-debt cost report and secure outstanding balance payments

Required qualifications

• Proven work experience as a Medical Biller or in a similar role
• Solid understanding of billing software and electronic medical records
• Experience with Meditech Expanse or Epic systems
• Direct experience working with insurance companies
• Critical access hospital and rural health clinic billing experience required
