Job Summary
Managing a high volume of critical incidents remotely, the full-time Critical Incident Investigator I will ensure timely and compliant resolutions while collaborating with various stakeholders in the Community HealthChoices Quality Improvement department.
Key responsibilities
- Investigate and report critical incidents involving participants in long-term services and supports, including allegations of abuse or neglect
- Monitor intake queues for critical incidents and document findings in electronic systems while ensuring adherence to deadlines
- Collaborate with service coordinators and other staff to evaluate incidents, propose interventions, and track quality improvement measures
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Criminal Justice, or Social Work preferred; or Associate's degree with 2 years of relevant experience
- Prior experience in healthcare, quality, auditing, emergency response, or public safety strongly preferred
- Strong computer proficiency, particularly in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and web-based healthcare applications
- Knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare products, managed care principles, and home and community-based services preferred
- Strong critical thinking, judgment, and problem-solving skills
