CT Licensed Application Tester

Job Summary

Working remotely on a contract basis, the CT Licensed Application Tester will perform system testing, User Acceptance Testing, and requirements validation for the Connecticut Information Sharing System while collaborating with project teams and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities:

• Creating test use cases, executing tests, and generating test result reports as required by project managers
• Supporting the resolution of defects found during testing and providing consultation on testing processes to the project team
• Developing presentations and documenting reported defects for stakeholders and management

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Technology with exposure to programming in third-generation languages
• 5 to 7 years of experience as a tester for IT projects, including experience with NIEM XML or other complex XML standards
• Proficient in manual testing of web services using Soap UI/Postman and experience with SOA technologies
• Experience in scripting complex SQL queries (MS SQL Server) and knowledge of automation reporting tools like Extent Reports
• Proficient in core programming languages such as C# or Java and familiar with GitHub for version control
