Job Summary
Committed to creating culturally informed curriculum materials for grades 6-12, the part-time CTE Editor will manage editorial processes, collaborate with project managers, and ensure quality standards are met in developing innovative instructional content.
Key responsibilities
- Contributes ideas during project planning and collaborates with managers to understand job parameters
- Matches state standards and certification objectives to relevant content in the CTE program
- Ensures completed assignments meet project specifications and deadlines while maintaining positive communication with supervisors
Required qualifications
- Work experience or internships in education, publishing, or digital curriculum are desired
- Experience creating materials for middle and high school students is preferred
- Graduate or undergraduate degree in education, curriculum, history, economics, English, Science, or related fields
- Familiarity with editing, grammar, and style guides such as the Chicago Manual of Style is preferred
- Proficient in software programs including MS Word, Excel, and digital technology programs
