Customer Reliability Engineer
Job Summary
Becoming an expert in Apache Airflow, the full-time remote Customer Reliability Engineer will provide technical support and guidance to customers, solve complex Airflow issues, and contribute to the overall success of the managed Airflow service.
Key responsibilities
- Provide expert support for Apache Airflow, optimizing configurations and identifying bugs for customers
- Collaborate with customers' data engineers and DevOps teams to prioritize and resolve issues while ensuring a high-quality customer experience
- Participate in side projects that enhance Astronomer's offerings, including contributions to the open-source Airflow repository
Required qualifications
- Data Engineering background
- 4 years of experience with Python
- 1 year of experience in Airflow administration and DAG creation
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, or Containers
- Experience working with distributed systems on major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure)
