Job Summary
Serving as a secondary point of contact for the Bureau of Justice Assistance's Public Safety Officers' Benefits Program, the full-time remote Customer Resource Specialist will manage case files, provide proactive updates to survivors and agencies, and ensure timely follow-ups within 24 hours of initial contact.
Key responsibilities
- Initiate and maintain PSOB claim case files in the PSOB 2.0 online portal
- Provide proactive customer service to survivors, injured officers, and agencies regarding their applications
- Conduct follow-up communications with applicants and agencies, ensuring timely responses and updates
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or higher
- 7+ years of benefits/claims specific experience
- Must be a U.S. citizen meeting the DOJ Residency Requirement
- Ability to pass a Government security background investigation
- Home office within the United States equipped with appropriate internet and telephone service
