Job Summary
To support patient billing inquiries, the full-time remote Customer Service Representative will manage high call volumes, providing assistance with billing, payment processing, and account reconciliation while ensuring timely reimbursement for services.
Key responsibilities
- Responds to incoming calls, assisting patients and families with billing, payment, and accounting issues
- Processes payments, adjustments, claims, and financial applications accurately and in a timely manner
- Reconciles account balances and collaborates with internal and external customers to resolve payment issues
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year of customer service and/or call center experience
- Minimum of 1 year of healthcare experience in finance, revenue cycle, or patient financial services
- Strong knowledge of insurance plans, including deductibles and co-insurances
- Proficiency in common office software, including word processing and spreadsheets
