Cyber Defense Director

Job Summary

Leading the operational defense mission, the full-time remote Cyber Defense Director will manage global security operations, oversee the incident response lifecycle, and direct the cyber threat intelligence program to protect the organization's enterprise estate.

Key responsibilities

• Lead 24/7 global security operations across AMER, EMEA, and APAC regions
• Own the full incident response lifecycle, ensuring forensic preservation and post-incident reviews
• Direct the Cyber Threat Intelligence program, converting adversary intelligence into detection requirements and defense architecture changes

Required qualifications

• 12+ years in cybersecurity operations, incident response, or SOC leadership, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
• Proven experience leading a cyber defense program at enterprise scale, particularly in hybrid or multi-cloud environments
• Strong command of threat-informed defense practices, including MITRE ATT&CK and detection engineering
• Experience operationalizing threat intelligence into detection coverage and defensive architecture
• Dedication to continuous learning through self-directed, certification, military, or formal education sources
