Cyber Defense Engineer

Job Summary

Passionate about threat hunting, the full-time Cyber Defense Detection and Automation Engineer will enhance detection capabilities, manage SOAR-driven automation, and support incident response efforts within a global cybersecurity team.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain SOAR automated playbooks for triage, enrichment, and response
• Design, develop, and maintain SIEM detection content, including correlation rules and alert logic
• Coordinate and execute the SOC threat hunting program, operationalizing validated findings into detections

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a security operations environment with incident response support
• 3+ years of technical experience developing automation or orchestration solutions
• Strong proficiency with Python and PowerShell for automation and scripting
• Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms and security telemetry concepts
• Familiarity with threat hunting methodologies and incident response processes
