Job Summary

Focusing on defensive operations and rapid risk reduction, the contract Cyber Defense Specialist will engage in threat hunting, detection engineering, and security monitoring while working remotely for a duration of 6+ months.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct threat hunting and detection engineering to identify potential security threats
• Manage log collection and normalization for effective security monitoring
• Develop and tune alerts while performing gap analysis within cyber defense programs

Required qualifications

• Experience in threat hunting and detection engineering
• Proficiency in log collection and normalization techniques
• Knowledge of security monitoring practices and IOC blocking
• Familiarity with alert development and tuning processes
