Cyber Defense Validation Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Cyber Defense Senior Validation Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify challenges in customer's security controls and formulate strategies for improvement
• Create tests to validate expected or unexpected behaviors of networks, endpoints, and cloud controls
• Provide validation testing expertise to assist in identifying and remediating security control gaps

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 6 years of experience in an offensive or defensive security role with knowledge of Mitre ATT&CK and attacker tools
• Experience with security controls in endpoint (EDR) or network (IDS, IPS) capacities
• Experience leading teams in scoping, planning, executing, reporting, or remediating security tasks
• Experience with scripting (e.g., Python) or software development
