Cyber Incident Response Attorney

Job Summary

Seeking a Senior Cyber Incident Response Attorney, this fully remote position will manage incident response for cybersecurity and data privacy incidents, oversee breach response work, and interact with senior-level management and technical personnel at client companies.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead incident response for cybersecurity and data privacy incidents, including drafting legal notices and responding to regulatory investigations
• Oversee breach response work by Associates and advise clients on handling cybersecurity incidents from start to finish
• Analyze state, federal, and international privacy laws while drafting privacy and security policies in compliance with relevant statutes

Required Qualifications

• JD from an accredited Law School and admitted to the Bar in good standing
• 8+ years of legal experience, with 5+ years focused on data privacy and security, particularly in data breach and incident response
• Strong knowledge of data breach and privacy laws, including HIPAA, GLBA, CCPA, and GDPR
• IT or technical background is a plus, along with some litigation experience
• Excellent research and writing skills, with proficiency in Lexis and Westlaw
