Cyber Operations Analyst
Job Summary
Supporting 24x7 operations in a large Federal agency Cyber Security Operations Center, the Associate Cyber Operations Analyst will focus on advanced cyber threat monitoring and detection, incident analysis and management, while leveraging AI/ML and automation to enhance SOC efficiency in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Support monitoring, detection, and management of advanced cyber threats
- Execute operational processes for response efforts to identified security incidents
- Analyze threat intelligence and perform incident analysis to assess risk and adapt defenses
Required qualifications
- BA/BS in Computer Science, IT, or related field, or equivalent experience with 1+ years in cybersecurity and SOC operations
- Experience in cyber/IT security with at least 1 year in IT and/or SOC operations
- Familiarity with AI/ML capabilities and their application to cyber analysis
- Hands-on experience with cybersecurity automation and SIEM/SOAR platforms
- Understanding of control frameworks, risk management techniques, and cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP)
