Cyber Risk Defense Principal

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Cyber Risk Defense Principal, the successful candidate will lead the development of advanced machine learning solutions on the Splunk Enterprise platform to enhance cyber threat detection and compliance within clinical systems, while working remotely from authorized states.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage and direct the maintenance and protection of data, systems, and network security integrity
• Lead the proactive monitoring and response to known or emerging threats against the network
• Coordinate the response and resolution of high-impact cyber security incidents and provide strategic direction for threat detection capabilities

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Social Science, Mathematics, or a related field
• Minimum ten (10) years of experience in IT or a related field, including at least four (4) years in information security or network engineering
• Minimum four (4) years in an informal leadership role working with project or technical teams
• Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks and algorithms, particularly in a cyber security context
• Experience in developing and maintaining anomaly detection models on Unix-based systems using Python
