Cyber Risk Defense Principal

Job Summary

To enhance the Cyber Risk Defense program, the full-time Cyber Risk Defense Principal will manage the development of advanced machine learning solutions on the Splunk Enterprise platform, focusing on cyber threat detection and compliance while working remotely.

Key responsibilities:

• Drive execution of multiple work streams by developing procedures, gaining cross-functional support, and translating business strategy into actionable requirements
• Lead proactive monitoring and response to cyber threats, while effectively communicating findings to non-technical audiences
• Coordinate the investigation and resolution of high-impact cyber security incidents and develop incident detection and handling processes

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Social Science, Mathematics, or related field
• Minimum ten (10) years of experience in IT or a related field, including four (4) years in information security or network engineering
• Four (4) years of experience in an informal leadership role working with project or technical teams
• Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks and algorithms, particularly in Python and Unix-based systems
• Experience in cyber security vulnerability, threat response, or investigation is preferred
